About Dasa
A secondhand bookstore and cafe on Sukhumvit Road since 2004.
Dasa Book Cafe was founded in June 2004 by Donald Gilliland and Kaweewut Wuttiwipoo on Sukhumvit Road, between Soi 26 and 28. Starting with about 8,500 books, the shop has grown to over 18,000 titles — predominantly in English, with selections in French, German, Spanish, Swedish, and other languages.
The idea was simple: a well-organised, comfortable secondhand bookshop with fair prices, good coffee, and a neighbourhood feel. Two decades later, Dasa remains a gathering point for readers of all backgrounds — expats, tourists, Thai students, and lifelong book collectors.
